Water & Sanitation: Every Drop Counts

Access to clean water and safe sanitation is a basic human right—yet millions across India still live without it. Inadequate water supply, poor sanitation infrastructure, and limited hygiene awareness place children and women at greatest risk, leading to serious health issues, increased school absenteeism, and deeper poverty in vulnerable communities.

At DOSE, we are committed to changing this reality. By building sustainable water sources, improving sanitation facilities, and promoting hygiene education, we lay the groundwork for healthier lives, dignity, and brighter development prospects.

Our Dream for Every Child

We strive for every government, private, and unaided school—as well as Anganwadi centre—to have clean, functional toilets and urinals. In co-educational schools above the primary level, separate hygiene facilities for boys and girls are essential for promoting health, dignity, and consistent school attendance.

Since 2014, DOSE has worked on a range of sanitation projects, focusing on enhancing water supply and improving sanitation facilities in schools and communities while encouraging safe hygiene practices. These efforts are crucial for building a cleaner India and combating malnutrition and poor health.
