Malnutrition, poor hygiene, unsafe water, and limited medical facilities continue to undermine the health and dignity of children and families—especially in rural and underserved regions. Maternal and child healthcare is at the heart of our mission and is a key indicator of progress in society. With over 25 million births each year in India, ensuring quality care for mothers and children is essential to preventing needless deaths and promoting long-term well-being.

Yet, the challenges remain stark:

50% of children under five years old are affected by various forms of malnutrition. India accounts for 49% of the global burden of child wasting (low weight for height). 69% of deaths among children under five years are caused by malnutrition in India.

To address these pressing issues, DOSE partners with State and Central Government bodies and leading organizations to deliver accessible and high-quality maternal and child healthcare to marginalized communities.
